Mr. Eric Wong

Chairman, Co-founder

Mr. Wong Sing Hung Eric is the Chairman of GRST. Mr. Wong graduated from McMaster University with Master of Business Administration in 1974. With his innovative mind and passion for technologies, Mr. Wong embarked on his career of a trendsetting ...entrepreneur. The notable companies he co-founded include Fotomax, a pioneer one-hour photo finishing company in Hong Kong, System-Pro, which successfully introduced IBM micro-computers to local market and provided software solutions to enterprises. He also served on key positions in various innovative companies in Hong Kong.

Understanding the importance of renewable energy to the sustainability of our ecology, Mr. Wong has been collaborating with a team of scientists in the research and development of eco-friendly batteries for years. Their joint efforts finally paid off with the development of advanced eco-design and totally water-based manufacturing processes for cost-efficient greener Lithium-ion batteries which are ready for commercialization.

Mr. Alex Yeung

Vice Chairman

Mr. Yeung Sau Hung, Alex, was appointed as a non-executive director of GRST Investment (BVI) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the GRST Group in November 2016. He then became a non-executive director and Vice Chairman of the holdings company ... in Mid-2018. His main responsibilities are the formulation of the corporate strategies and facing investors.

His current involvements included joining Geely Automobile Holdings as an Independent Non-executive Director from June 2005. He is currently the CEO and Responsible Officer of Diamond Head Capital Asset Management, a hedge fund Company. Mr. Yeung entered the fund management and financial consultant profession after his retirement from the role of chief executive officer of DBS Vickers (Hong Kong) Limited, a wholly owned securities firm of DBS Bank. Mr. Yeung is a MBA graduate from the University of Southern California, and has a BS degree in Economics and Civil Engineering from the University of Texas and brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining DBS Vickers, Mr. Yeung was the deputy chairman of the management committee of a listed consumer electronics company for four years. Before that, he was the head of Greater China Equities and the managing director of Deutsche Securities, the wholly owned securities arm of Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong. During the period of 1986-1995, he was the head of non-Japan Asian equities for Swiss Bank Corporation, later known as UBS.

Mr. Hung Yuen

Mr. Justin Hung is a Director of GRST. Mr. Hung graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. He is an advocate for eco-friendly technology and innovation, and has founded several companies that engaged in this ...direction, including CeraSOL Holdings LTD., White Pan & Wok Company Ltd., Heat2wear Company LTD., etc. He has worked in China and Korea for over 20 years with extensive experiences in both electrical and chemical technologies.

Mr. Tony Wong

COO, Co-founder

Mr. Wong is a Director of GRST Energy Ltd. Between year 1978-2016, Mr. Wong has served on the Board of TS Wong & Company Ltd. ; Fotomax (FarEast) Ltd. ; System Pro Ltd. ; China Industries Management Ltd. ; TL Management Ltd. ; SDM Dental Centers Ltd. ... Mr. Wong has also worked in China for over 25 years and has participated in the management of a number of Sino-Foreign Join Ventures Companies. Mr. Wong graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a degree of Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Ottawa.

Dr. Bill Ho

CTO, Co-founder

Dr. Bill Ho is the Chief Technology Officer of GRST. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). As a postdoctoral fellow in McGill University and a researcher in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology of PolyU ..., he has over 15 years’ research experience in electrochemistry and materials science. As an inventor, he has published more than 15 papers in peer-reviewed journals and filed more than 20 patent applications worldwide.

Prior to his career in GRST, Bill was a technical manager at Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited, where he undertook various projects supported by Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Fund, HKSAR. He has extensive experience in the development of materials for Lithium-ion batteries and technology for manufacturing Lithium-ion batteries.

Mr. Lewis Lo

President

Mr. Lo graduated in State University New York at Buffalo with Electronics & Computer Engineering in 1985. Riding on the major growing trend of semiconductor and their application in computing & consumer electronics in 80’, Mr. Lo co-founded Vector ...Electronics Co. Ltd, being a semiconductor application solutions provider; and also successfully transferred Japanese (Panasonic) CD ROM drive manufacturing technology into China to become the first CD ROM & Video CD manufacturer in China. Vector was then merged with Taiwan team to formed GMI Technology Inc. in order to expand the semiconductor applications design & solutions business to Asia market; Mr. Lo then successfully managed the company to IPO in Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2010.

With the strong connection of computing & electronics fields in Asia, especially in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan & Japan, Mr. Lo also co-founded Vision Technology Ltd., which was one the leading computer & electronics products distributor in Hong Kong & China, and exporting from China to overseas market.

Dr. Joe Law

Director (Patent and Legal)

Dr. Joe Law, our Patent and Legal Director, is specialized in providing IP strategic planning and enforcement for GRST-related matters. As a Patent Attorney, and having received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in chemistry, he supervises the filing and prosecution of IP applications ...applications of GRST worldwide.

Prior to joining GRST, Joe was associated with international law firm Squire Patton Boggs in its Hong Kong office, where he advised multinational clients on intellectual property matters and enforcement of patent rights and other IP matters.

Joe is Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Chinese Patent Attorneys Association and a Council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Patent Attorney.

Dr. Peter Wong

Dr. Wong earned a Bachelor of Engineering Physics at McMaster U. Hamilton, Canada, where he did research in biomedical applications in nuclear physics. He subsequently obtained a Doctor of Medicine and Neurology specialty qualification in Canada, with ...with research fellowships of 1 year each at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, U. California at San Diego, then finally Children's Hosp. of Harvard U., Boston, before joining the U. of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine where he works full time. He was honorary visiting professor at Shanghai Medical College of Fudan U., and Consulting Professor at Jichi Medical U. Japan. He was awarded Canada’s Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for his work in epilepsy as Past President of Epilepsy Canada. He had been a visiting teacher at Guangzhou Women’s and Children’s Medical Center in Guangzhou for many years. He had been previously involved with cardiac pacemaker technology research, and has been exploring the feasibility of rechargeable battery technology for cardiac and neural pacemaker applications. With GRST he intends to play a role in exploring new applications in the biomedical and engineering fields.

Dr. Chan Ka Keung

Dr. Chan is the Founder and CEO of Nature Elements Capital which is a leading private equity fund investing in cleantech and renewable energy in Asia. Prior to establishing Nature Elements Capital, Dr Chan was Managing Director & Head of Investments- Greater ...Greater China, Climate Change Capital (an investment firm managing over US$1.5 billion assets). He was responsible for all investment activities in carbon emission credits under the Clean Development Mechanism and environmental projects in Greater China.

Dr. Chan was Managing Director of CLP Renewables, China Light and Power (CLP; a leading power company in Asia). He was responsible for building and managing the clean energy and cleantech portfolio of CLP in Asia Pacific (particularly China, India and Australia). He was also responsible for all corporate finance activities of CLP in mainland China, including project financing, merger & acquisition, and project restructuring of energy assets. His achievements at CLP included winning the prestigious “Corporate Developer of the Year” by Euromoney and Ernst & Young in the “Global Renewable Energy Awards 2006”.

Dr. Chan has a BA (First Class Honours) in Electrical & Information Science, PhD in Electronic Engineering (thesis on thin-film semiconductor technology), both from Cambridge University. He has also obtained a Bachelor of Laws from London University and an EMBA from Tsinghua University, Beijing.

Dr. Godwin Wong

With Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Master's degree from U.C.L.A., and Master's and Doctorate from Harvard University, Professor Wong had been on the faculty of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley for ... twenty some years.

He has been management consultant, and specialist/strategist to various organizations including banks, corporations, government agencies, consulting firms and private business enterprises. He has assisted multinational companies in the negotiation of businesses, in technology transfer, mergers and acquisitions. He has been appointed Chief Expert Advisor for Beijing HaiDian City Government of China, and in 2012+ Special Advisor/Consultant for WuXi 530 Program.

Having been on the board of directors of a California bank of US$17 Billion, he had served on the boards of several California banks and NASDAQ companies. He was also appointed by U.S. Government agencies in the turnaround and the purchase and sale of financial institutions. He has also served on the boards of directors of other corporations, especially the high tech ventures in Silicon Valley, Hong Kong, Shanghai and ShenZhen. Representing investment groups, he had run his own San Francisco management companies in real estate, consulting, and investment management with over 40 employees.

Dr. Harry Lee

Dr. Harry Lee joined Textile Alliance Limited (TAL) in Hong Kong in 1973 and the garment division in 1979. Through restructuring in 1983, TAL’s garment division became an independent operation, TAL Apparel Limited, and Dr. Lee was appointed as the Managing ...Managing Director (a title now referred to as CEO) of this new company. In 2012, Dr. Lee was appointed as Chairman.

Dr. Lee is actively involved in a number of trade organizations and public services in Hong Kong. He is the Honorary Chairman of Textile Council of Hong Kong Ltd. and the Hong Kong Garment Manufacturer’s Association. In addition, he was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles & Apparel Ltd (HKRITA) from Sept 2010 to Sept 2018, and is currently holding the position of the Advisor, Chairman Emeritus. Dr. Lee is also the Chairman of the Committee of Overseers of Lee Woo Sing College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as the Chairman of Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited. Dr. Lee was awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the Textile Institute in May this year in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Dr. Harry Lee was educated in both the United Kingdom and the United States of America. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London, UK and a Doctorate degree from Brown University, U.S.A.
